Abururu waterfalls as commonly referred by locals, exist within a forested and rocky covered landscape of known as Minywere; meaning a stream of two raised adjacent lands. Water from the two streams then drains into the cavity down the raised land contributing to the reality of this waterfall. The stream waters falling deep into a cavity are supplied by three tributaries streams; the major stream runs from Uhoya village down the slope across Nyabera -Ndigwa village through a large extensive area called Dier Aora and other rivers Apudo , Akech which passes between Koyugi and Konyando.

The combined streams at the waterfall then flow as one stream pouring contents to Lake Victoria at Kadiala Beach.

The existence of such a waterfall, however, is uncertain partly contributing to such negligence. This mainly arises since the supplying stream is seasonal and in the event of prolonged drought, water supply is cut and this majorly contributes to the ineffectiveness of the waterfall.

To save this natural beauty, the residents should highly be sensitized on the need to conserve and protect such natural resources.
The waterfall when conserved will not only serve as a site of local tourism but also offer good learning resource that is locally available to geography learners around this region.
This will not be limited to opening the area creating room for development.
