Raila In Trouble As Otiende Amollo Supporters Threaten To Abandon BBI

Published:

Supporters allied to the Rarieda member of parliament Otiende Amollo have now threatened to ditch Raila Amollo Odinga and the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

In one of the Rarieda political forums, some of those who regard themselves as ardent supporters of Otiende Amollo expressed their displeasure at the latest decision by the Orange party to remove the legislator from the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee of the National Assembly.

“We are really disappointed in ODM if they can resort to using chest thumping on sober minds like Otiende Amollo. What wrong has a man like Otiende Amollo done by advocating for more constituencies in our regions?” Rather should leaders just act like conveyor belts to be seen to be loyal to even a dangerous course?” Posed one follower.

Apparently, Otiende Amollo is set to be replaced by the Ruaraka member of parliament TJ Kajwang.

This latest action by the opposition party comes in the wake of push and pulls in the orange party which has threatened to divide the leaders allied to the Opposition chief Raila Amollo Odinga.

At some point, it saw the Rarieda member of parliament Otiende Amollo slam the ODM chair John Mbadi during the BBI bill debate on whether the document was to be amended in the Assembly or not.

According to John Mbadi who is the minority leader, the document could not have even a comma changed, a perspective which the Rarieda legislator strongly opposed.
