Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi is today expected to host more than 100 sitting politicians and hundreds of his supporters at Bomas of Kenya.
The event is expected to bring together supporters who are Mudavadi like-minded where they will be expected to endorse him to form a coalition with other parties.
According to a reliable source, Musalia is today expected to seek a mandate from his party delegates to vie for the presidency on August 9th.
The source said that about 100 sitting politicians, aspirants and MCAs from the western region have been invited.
Kalonzo and Moi were endorsed by their respective parties, Wiper and KANU respectively, to run for the presidency.
“Our party leader Musalia Mudavadi will attend unveils his presidential bid just like what Kalonzo Musyoka did last months, then he will establish a coalition with like-minded politicians to ally ahead of August, “he said.
Among those invited includes National Assembly Speaker, Justine Muturi, who was recently pictured with Mudavadi at his home.
One Kenya Alliance co-principals, Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Moses Wetangula (Ford-Kenya) and Gideon Moi (Kanu), Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua and Tujibebe Wakenya Party leader William Kabogo are some leaders expected.
While addressing a rally in Nyamira on Sunday, Mudavadi asked his supporters to be patient and wait for his major announcement.
Mudavadi is also expected to unveil his party manifesto, which will emphasise the need to streamline the implementation of CBC.
The ANC party leader will take the opportunity to explain his Pesa mfukoni economic model and the political roadmap to the August 9 elections.
Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala recently said that the chances of Musalia joining deputy president are at a higher gear.
