Gatungu South MP Moses Kuria seems to have already made his decision on which political side he will join ahead of the August general elections.
For the past few weeks, Kuria has been giving his follower mixed messages regarding the political side – team UDA led by Deputy President William Ruto or Raila Odinga-led Azimio la Umoja Movement – he is willing to join.
Though he has not clearly said which political divide he will join, the controversial lawmaker has in the last few days indicated that he will not join the Azimio.
He has been throwing attacks and criticism to the movement and its flag bearer, Raila.
In his latest attack, Kuria called on the ODM leader to retire from politics alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August election noting that the revolution has hit the country.
Kuria said that the few political earthquakes that have been witnessed in the country since ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi made his announcements on Sunday were a sign of the political revolution.
The outspoken legislator, therefore, asked Raila, 77, to retire from politics to give room for the purported revolution
“The tremors in the country are part of a revolution marking 30 years of our multi-party experience. The gods have spoken. I advise my friend Raila Odinga to give way to this revolution and retire with grace alongside Uhuru Kenyatta,” Kuria said.
Kuria also claimed that Raila’s Azimio movement was a wrong idea that was being pushed by the wrong people. He said that the movement had a bad motive for the country hence needed to be eradicated.
“Azimio is a bad idea, fronted by the wrong people, for all the wrong reasons. Its fate is Jehanum and Judgement Day is here,” he said.
Kuria who previously stated that he was supporting William Ruto’s presidential bid, had been reluctant to join the UDA fold after the DP insisted that he was not open to forming coalitions.
