Police officers in Yatta, Machakos County, have arrested a middle-aged man and his father in connection to the death of their kin.
The man is alleged to have slit his younger brother’s throat.
The incident happened at Makutano MA ABC, Kithimani Yatta Sub-County on Tuesday night.
The 38-year-old man according to the Yatta Sub-County Criminal Investigations Officer ASP Benard Rono, the two were arrested in connection to the death of the man’s brother on Tuesday.
Rono said the deceased reportedly arrived at his father’s compound and threatened to kill a family member.
The deceased stabbed his brother in the leg before the latter retaliated.
“The deceased is said to have wrestled with his elder brother and stabbed him on his legs thus provoking the suspect who retaliated by slitting his throat with the same knife which made him succumb to injuries,” Rono told the press.
The two are currently being held at Matuu police station while awaiting to arraigned at Kithimani Law courts after completing investigations.
The body og the deceased was moved to Yatta Funeral Home awaiting postmortem.
