Police officers in Kisii have launched a manhunt for two brothers who on Sunday morning hacked their 60-year-old father to death at Kiamisiori Bogetunya village.
The two suspects Boniface Osoro Saisi alias ‘Bob’ and Getaro Osoro, took off after the incident leaving behind a slasher and a kitchen knife believed to be the murder weapons.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the old man raised alarm during the attack, but neighbours said he was already dead when they arrived.
“Neighbours who responded to the wails of the old man found him soaked in a pool of blood, with deep cuts on the left collar bone, chest and the right wrist,” said DCI on Monday.
Police are still pursuing the suspects who are still at large as investigations are underway to establish the motive behind the deadly attack.
