Gideon Moi is no longer in OKA – Kanu MP reveals

Published:

Tiaty Member of Parliament and Kanu member William Kamket has revealed that his party boss Gideon Moi is no longer part of the One Kenya Alliance (OKA).

Speaking in Baringo on Friday, December 17, Kamket revealed that Moi has instructed him and other party members to pitch their tents at Raila Odinga’s Azimio la Umoja.

Kamket said.

The MP’s statement comes days after Raila Odinga reached out to elders from Western Kenya to discuss a possible reunion with his former Nasa allies, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula ahead of the 2022 General Elections.

Raila was flanked by Ugenya MP Opiyo Wandayi and Nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi at the meeting.

“The Bukusu Council of Elders met our party leader today, and they have endorsed him. They have assured him they will go to the grassroots level and popularise his candidature,” Wandayi said.

Wandayi also revealed that the elders underscored the need for Raila to engage with One Kenya Alliance principals with the view of reuniting with them ahead of the elections. He said that the elders had agreed to mediate between Raila and the OKA principals so that they can bury the hatchet and work together.
