Musician Willy Paul is the latest Kenyan celebrity to declare his interest in the political arena ahead of the 2022 General Elections.
Willy Paul has revealed in a social media post that he is planning to vie for the Mathare parliamentary seat in next year’s general elections.
However, the controversial musician did not reveal the political party that will sponsor his parliamentary bid.
In his announcement, the controversial artist promised to deliver change to the people of Mathare if he ascends to power.
According to him, he is the change the people of Mathare have been yearning for.
“Are you ready Mathare? Let’s bring that change,” he said.
Paul will be seeking to unseat the current area MP Oluoch Anthony Tom of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Willy Paul joins a stream of celebrities who have thrown their hats into the ring of politics.
Some of those celebrities include comedians Jalango, MC Jessy, and actor OJ.
