Cleophas Malala Being Haunted By The Butere Man His Car Knocked And Killed During Their Kenya Kwanza Rally

Published:

Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala and Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi were on Monday shocked after they visited Butere constituency.

Not only was the crowd few but they also seemed uninterested and not excited with their presence. The leaders were left talking to themselves with no one cheering.

According to sources, the crowd was cold at Musalia Mudavadi and Cleophas Malala after their campaign vehicle knocked and killed one of their son in the area.

According to the Butere member of parliament Tindi Mwale, Cleophas Malala’s car was overspeeding before it crashed Simon Odera like groundnuts and left him to die along the road.

Sadly, the senator instead of stopping to help the youth who was clearly in pain and rushing him to the hospital decided to speed off in a bid to attend more important UDA functions.

Below is what Tindi Mwale wrote while reporting about the accident:

“RIP Simon Odera. The late,a youth at Sabatia, our Great Butere was knocked down to death by speeding vehicles belonging to my Bro.Senator Cleophas Malala. The Senator, who had just had a rally at Sabatia sped off without having the humanitarian heart of taking the young man to hospital for medical attention. As leaders,we shouldn’t value politics more than the lives of the voters. To the family of the bereaved ;,Pole sana and may the almighty God rest Simon Odera’s soul in eternal peace.”

Besides, Cleophas Malala and Musalia Mudavadi were in the area just a day after the Azimio coalition traversed the area and condemned the senator after his car killed the youth and sped off.

While addressing the rally, Malala who was getting haunted was even forced to apologize to the residents after his convoy crashed into the young man and sped off.

“Sabatia hoyee, Mr. Musalia Mudavadi we were here last week during our Kenya Kwanza rally but unfortunately we got an accident when we were leaving the meeting. I want to say sorry because it was not my wish. Therefore I will stand with the family and give 100,000 Kenya shillings to the family from my pocket.” Said Malala to the uninterested crowd as Mudavadi watched helplessly.
