Reigning Kenya Premier League champions, Gor Mahia’s elections were disrupted on Saturday, August 8, after officials traded blows as the results tricked in.
The club’s polls that were conducted via an electronic voting process were off to a smooth start before allegations of rigging were floated by one of the contestants.
The Outgoing treasurer Sally Bolo who was vying for the position of the vice-chairperson claimed that the results were rigged as they showed her was trailing his opponent Francis Wasuna.
Chaos erupted when Bolo refuted the results as she challenged other officials present. In a video shared online, she is seen tussling with other members.
She faulted the results transmission stating that she could not access the tallies from her end despite being given a code by the election board.
Eventually, she was removed from the tallying center where the results were being relayed live.
