Kandara member of parliament Alice Wahome on Friday night found herself defending a man of God that is facing accusations of laundering fake dollar currency.
According to Alice Wahome, the man of God is being held up at the Muthaiga police station after he was arrested this evening.
Below was the full statement released by Alice Wahome regarding the issue:
“The deep state desperation has reached boiling point. They have arrested the AIPCA General Secretary Bernard Maina from Mathira Nyeri a man of God and held him at Muthaiga Police Station on fake tramped up charges of money laundering or fake dollar currency .
The fake currency was dumped in his Car on Thursday 10/3/22 after 5 Police officers in an unmarked car trailed him. He has been held since Thursday 4.00 pm upto now. His lawyers have demanded for guarantee to his safety and immediate release.
I have personally visited him at police station and demanded for his release or that he be granted Police bond to no avail and the criminal DCI says he has orders from above: Reason behind arrest is intimidation to force him and the Supreme Board to accept to host H.E Uhuru Kenyatta during the Holy Oil Celebrations to be held in April.
The Criminal DCI, Kibicho and some Merchant called Wandere the supplier of tents for Statehouse functions are in Cohort to force the Church against the wish of the Christians of AIPCA to host His Excellency The President in April .
The holy Oil Celebration is a very sacred event and the musical Chairs now surrounding the event have started to take toll on some of the leaders who are independent minded.
The events were supposed to be 3 for the three(3) splinter groups of the Church to be help in different venues and now State house has ordered that it must be held in Kandara by all the groups together and the Chief Guest must be H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta whether they like it or not.
Unfortunately for Bernard when he said no to the request which was delivered by Kibicho through one Osea in the presence of the 3 esteemed Archbishops Wang’ombe, Julius Njoroge and Muthuri , he was told in the face by the said Osea that “the Gov’t “ itakufinya”
and that they must do as required . H.E William Ruto is a guest in April 2022 at kaburugi AIPCA for the Holy Oil Celebrations . This is the reason why the man of God has to be arrested . God help us.”
