If you thought that killing people online and sweeping it under the carpet is as easy as drinking porridge, then you better ask Machakos governor Alfred Mutua.
Just minutes after apologizing for killing Kalonzo Musyoka’s wife online, Kenyans from all walks of life picked a war with the second term Machakos governor, with some accusing him of spreading fake news despite being a governor.
Aggrieved Kenyans even went to the extent of throwing unprintable insults to Machakos governor for announcing the death of Pauline Musyoka and then deleting the same death announcement.
As a result, Alfred Mutua who could not stomach all kinds of lectures was forced to gag Kenyans by deactivating his Facebook comment sections. You won’t even be able to read those comments forget about airing your views.
Alfred Mutua in his apology stated that sources close to Kalonzo Musyoka misled him that Pauline had passed on while receiving treatment.
“APOLOGY. I wish to apologize for the earlier post about the family of H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka. This was a result of misinformation and a hoax from several players, some, seemingly credible and close to H.E. Kalonzo, who made it seem like a message to me about the family. People can be evil. My sincere apologies for any anxiety caused. Happily, all is well. God bless you.” Read the apology by Alfred Mutua.
Mutua initially announced the death of Pauline Musyoka as follows: I have learnt of the passing away of Her Excellency Mrs. Pauline Musyoka with shock and disbelief. It read as below:
“On behalf of my family, the people of Machakos and Maendeleo Chap Chap fraternity, I wish to convey our deepest sympathies sympathies to the family and friends of Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka for losing your wife Mama Pauline
I knew mama Pauline as a motherly, calm and composed lady. I pray for Gods comfort to Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka, your children and the greater family. May God grant you the strength to bear this great loss. May Mama Pauline’s soul Rest in Peace. Via Dr. Alfred Mutua.”
