Gospel Singer Julie Mutesasira Whose Children Won East Africa’s Got Talent Comes Out As Lesbian

Gospel singer Julie Mutesasira the mother of East Africa’s Got Talent winners married her lesbian sweetheart in a same-sex wedding that was held in Canada.

Julie Mutesasira has been making headlines across East Africa after she came out as a lesbian, the Ugandan singer was previously married to popular pastor Steven Mutesasira.

Julie divorced her pastor husband in 2017, they have two children together Esther and Ezekiel, the 2019 winners of the first season of East Africa’s Got Talent.

Julie Mutesasira left Uganda after she was accused of sleeping around with different men after her marriage hit rock bottom.

In 2020, Ugandans were shocked when photos of Julie’s wedding to a fellow woman went viral on social media. Many people thought it was just publicity stunt.

The ex preacher’s wife has now confirmed that she is gay and that is a reason why she left Uganda.

“I decided to leave Uganda because I came out, because of my security. Being a gay woman in Uganda and married to a pastor, that’s an abomination,” Julie said in the presence of her kids.
