Officers from Kombewa police station in Kisumu detained one Dan Otieno after he pounced on his own biological mother and tried to rape her.
36-year-old Otieno send villagers into shock after he was busted trying to force himself into his own mother at night.
Neighbors were alerted by yells from the suspect’s mother and responded in time to save her from a shameless act of incest.
The shocking incident occurred at Karao village, Kombewa division Seme Sub-county within Kisumu county.
Area chief Caleb Okuom was informed of Dan Otieno’s attempted rape by one of the village managers Martin Omware who was among the people who saved the suspect’s mother.
According to the chief, Otieno arrived home drunk and attacked his mother. He also tried to rape her but he was stopped just in time as neighbors responded to loud yells from the victim.
“The accused arrived home while drunk then he started assaulting his mother and attacking her with an intention of raping her,” the chief told reporters.
The area chief and villagers handed over Otieno Kombewa police station where he was charged with assault and attempted rape.
The suspect was arraigned in court on Wednesday March 30th for the mention of his case. He will be presented in court at a later date to take plea.
