Kakamega voters have exposed the hypocrisy of deputy president William Ruto after meddling in their local county politics ahead of the August 2022 general elections.
These voters wondered why Ruto, a strong critic of boardroom politics, had to sit somewhere in Karen to decide to them who to elect instead of allowing all the candidates to reach the ballot box.
William Ruto has been against the state by claiming that Kenyans will not allow a few leaders to sit in boardrooms to choose leaders on behalf of the citizens.
Ironically, the same William Ruto has been holding a delegation at his karen home to make Boni Khalwale step down for his rival Cleophas Malala in the Kakamega gubernatorial race.
On Wednesday, Boni Khalwale announced that he had stepped down for Malala and that he would now be eyeing the Kakamega senate seat.
However, this move has not gone well with Kakamega residents who have now vowed to teach William Ruto and his project a painful lesson ju ya kuwapanga. The Kakamega voters had the following to say:
“Kila siku Ruto huwa unatuambia ati tusikubali kupangiwa viongozi na wadosi wacahe kwenye mahoteli. Sasa wewe umetupangia governor hapa kakamega. We will show you dust with your project Malala.”
“It is amazing that William Ruto who preaches against board room politics by Wakubwa is the one now sitting in the boardrooms to decide for the Kakamega residents on who to elect. I thought this guy practices what he preaches out there kumbe it is just hypocrisy. Waluhywa wa Kakamega hatutakubali kuoangwa.”
“William Ruto must fail with his project senator malala very early in the morning. Here in Kakamega we want a leader who will solve our problems, not the one that will be going to Karen every morning to say thank you with our money. Malala and his Ruto must be rejected as a matter of agency. “
