The sister to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Ruth Odinga is undoubtedly a blessed woman with a great future behind her.
Recently during a meeting in Kisumu, Ruth Odinga shared a photo that has left some Kenyan women not only jealous but also wishing they could be like her.
In fact, some Kenyans have gone to the extent of comparing her with Vera Sidika since they thought Sidika ndio alikuwa amebeba hi Kenya.
Well, it turns out that whatever Vera Sidika is carrying is nothing under the sun compared to Ruth from the lakeside city.
“Woowee just when i thougt that Vera Sidika was the one in Kenya kumbe Ruth Odinga pia kuna vile amejipanga. She must be giving the likes of Sidika sleepless nights.’ Said one Kenyan.
The incoming Kisumu woman rep had met St. Monica widow’s Group where the women hailing from Nyabondo Nyakach sub-county officially endorsed her.
Ruth Odinga is eyeing the woman rep position on an ODM ticket and has been urging those expecting to be given the direct tickets to get out and campaign. According to her, direct tickets would only lead to voter apathy.
She has also on several occasions maintained that she is on the ballot like any other candidate and should not be favored when the ODM nomination tickets are being issued.
Ruth while speaking on Thursday said that Orange Democracy Movement should not make the mistake of issuing direct nomination certificates because it would only disadvantage her brother Raila.
“This issue of direct nominations will spoil Raila’s votes. We don’t want voter apathy this time round, let these people get out and campaign and sell their ideologies to the people,” She said.
“Even me as Ruth, I am just a member of the party and have come here today to seek your votes, and any other person should do the same”. She continued.
Ruth Odinga further urged all the candidates eyeing any seat in ODM or Azimio to only sell their manifestos and desist from engaging in insults.
“Let’s embrace peace and have political tolerance during this electioneering period and let the people decide,” Ruth noted.
