Alikiba and Amina have had a troubled marriage since the early days of their union, the Kenyan often ran away to Mombasa multiple times over domestic wrangles with her Tanzanian husband.

Tired of having fights with her estranged husband, Amina moved to Mombasa Khadis’ court to seek divorce.

Amina revealed that ugly side of the Bongo superstar in her divorce affidavit;

1.She said that the singer has not been consistent in providing maintenance and upkeep for her and the baby.

Amina also noted that Kiba would only provide after a back and forth between them.
She also said Kiba did not provide any maintenance or prenatal care during her pregnancy with their firstborn when she was staying with her family in Mombasa.

“The petitioner (Amina) delivered her first child on February 19, 2019 and as is the tradition of the Muslims remained at her family home for 40 days,” Amina’s petition reads in part.

“He even failed to clear my hospital bill for the birth of our child and left the same to be shouldered by me,” she added.

2. Amina said that Alikiba failed and neglected to address the living arrangements which had become stressful for her. The wrangles in Amina’s marriage started in her matrimonial home as she never saw eye to eye with Alikiba’s relatives.

3. Amina revealed that there was constant conflict between her and Kiba’s relatives and friends living at the matrimonial home. And left her with no choice but to leave their matrimonial home with her son and moved back to Mombasa on or about June 2019.

4. Amina said that her estranged Tanzanian husband remained utterly uninterested in his child’s well-being and hers.

5. Amina added that Kiba would be verbally abusive to her in front of his friends, contributing to her stress and depression.

Amina asked the Mombasa Kadhi’s court to dissolve her marriage to Kiba stressing that her union with the Tanzanian singer has broken down irreparably and no human intervention can salvage it and that it is in the interest of justice that the same be dissolved.

The mother of two demands Ksh200,000 monthly maintenance for the upkeep of their two children. And also wants him to pay for a medical cover for his children.

Alikiba was given 15 days to reply by the Mombasa Kadhi’s  court on February 10th, 2022.
