41-year-old Zari Hassan is currently dating a fellow Ugandan called GK Choppa who is way younger than her. He is not the first young man she is dating.
The mother of five didn’t post GK Choppa until their romantic photos leaked and blogs ran away with the story.
Zari and her younger lover were spotted packing on the PDA (public display of affection) about two weeks ago as they hanged out together.
She ultimately decided to post her new man on social media after blogs across the continent shared photos of them spending quality time together.
The Ugandan socialite has come under scathing attacks from critics who call her a sugar mommy for dating a younger man.
Zari eventually got fed up of being called a cougar and she decided to hit back at her critics.
Taking to social media, the distraught mother of five stated that she doesn’t need permission from her fans to date a younger man.
She also made it clear that age is just a number, that her ultimate goal is being happy in a relationship.
“My decision doesn’t need any permission from my fans watch what you say age will just be a number happiness should come first loll,” wrote Zari.
GK Choppa is not the first man who is younger in age that Zari is dating. She established a romantic relationship with Diamond Platnumz, who is 9 years her junior, sometime in 2014 – a year after divorcing her late husband Ivan Semwanga.
Diamond and Zari dated for about five years and were blessed with two children in the course of their relationship – Latifah Dangote (born on 6th August 2015) and Prince Nillan (born on 6th December 2016).
However, Zari broke up with Diamond for good on 14th February 2018 (Valentine’s Day) after she got tired of his continued infidelity. The Tanzanian heartthrob cheated on Zari multiple times, even siring a kid with Hamisa Mobetto.
Lovestruck Zari is now deep into younger GK Choppa but statistics doesn’t favor her. The Ugandan socialite has not been lucky in as far as dating/marriage is concerned.
Zari has been in at least 11 known relationships and ALL of them failed to end ‘happily ever after’ for her. If statistics is anything to go by, then her relationship with GK Choppa won’t stand the test of time.
