Residents of Siaya County have been left in grief after the body of a five-year-old girl who went missing a week ago has been discovered in Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga Amoth’s farm in Segere village in Alego Central.
According to reports say that the young girl went missing after her mother left her in their home in Okoyo village when she took her sick younger sibling to hospital.
Area chief Felix Omudho claimed that the minor had followed her unsuspecting mother to the hospital and was spotted around Segere primary school where she was last seen alive.
The administrator revealed that the body of the minor was discovered with its lower and upper jaw missing.
Her body has since been taken to Siaya County Referral mortuary where it awaits a postmortem exam as the police continue with the investigation into the case.
Governor Rasanga is yet to comment on the matter.
