DP Ruto Forced To Address Empty Seats In Makueni Church

Published:

Deputy President William Ruto was forced to address congregants in a nearly empty church in Makueni County.

The fellowship at AIC Kathonzweni saw a low turnout with some seats at the church left unoccupied, a situation that many claimed to be as a result of poor mobilization.

The Church administration ushered the second in command into the office of the church’s deacon as efforts to mobilise attendees continued.

Ruto was to commission a church bus that he had contributed funds towards buying.

However, that did not down the spirits of the presidential hopeful as he went on to commission the bus after students from the neighbouring Kathonzweni Secondary School were allowed in to witness the event.

The DP was accompanied to the function by Garissa Township MP Aden Duale, former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama, among others.
