DP Ruto Says Only God Can Decide Who Will Clinch The August Polls

Published:

Deputy President William Ruto has asked fellow politicians vying for the Presidency come August 9 to excise peaceful campaigns.

Speaking on Saturday, January 22 at Kathonzweni AIC Church in Kathonzweni town, the DP stated that God will decide who will take over the country’s leadership after President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“And even as we canvass across the country, we must know that ultimately God will decide the next leader of this country through the prayers, the votes and the support of the people of Kenya,” Ruto said.

The DP further asked politicians to accept the will of voters adding that the country needs to be united even after the polls.

The DP who was meeting church leaders in the area also asked for their co-operation in uniting Kenyans to create a strong nation.

“We want a united nation. We want a united Kenya and that is the philosophy behind us working together,” the DP told church leaders.
