Jubilee secretary general Mr. Raphael Tuju is on the verge of reclaiming his Rarieda constituency seat from the incumbent doctor Otiende Amollo.
According to highly top sources, Raphael Tuju is on his final preparations to go to the ground and mount one of the most intense campaigns that has never been seen in Rarieda and its surroundings since independence.
Of late, Mr Raphael Tuju has been very close to Raila Odinga, thanks to the handshake between him and president Uhuru Kenyatta. As a result, the Jubilee secretary general is said to be considering his close association with the Orange Democratic Movement leader in his bid to reclaim the prestigious Rarieda seat.
Besides, Mr Tuju will be relying on his scorecard ranging from bringing mobile clinics, promoting education, and enhancing the general infrastructure within the Rarieda constituency at the time he was the member of parliament.
Sources also revealed that Tuju’s achievements in the constituency are still way much better compared to those of the incumbent legislator Mr. Otiende Amollo. For instance, Otiende has a programme dubbed Ondoa Nyasi where he has been building houses for poor families that still live in grass thatched houses.
However, it seems this programme is not giving Mr. Otiende Amollo the much needed political capital he needs to recapture his seat especially when Mr Tuju comes into the equation.
There are those who also believe that the vibrant lawyer will need miracles and Nigerian juju to defeat Tuju whose track records still speak loudly in Rarieda.
Thus, If the rumors of Mr Tuju coming back to Rarieda parliamentary race are true, then Mr. Otiende should brace himself for one of the toughest political battles in his life. He better prays to God every night that Tuju remains in Nairobi because his comeback will definitely cook his goose and permanently bury him to the darkest end of political oblivion.
Apparently, those close to Otiende argued that he seems to be aware of this intelligence (Tuju coming back) nowander he has been spending most of the time in Rarieda constituency just to maintain his support base.
At some point, the lawyer was actively involved in national politics selling the building bridges initiative but he quickly went back to the village politics and is now doing all he can to retain his seat which won’t come on a silver platter with Tuju’s entry.
