A pastor in Embu allegedly by the name James Mugoh was almost beaten to death after he failed to unlock the 2022 blessings despite charging 4,200 Kenya shillings per church member.
According to sources familiar with the incident, the Embu pastor threatened to curse each of the church members if they failed to commit 4,200 for the work of the Lord.

“Embu Pastor Attacked by Congregants for Demanding sh 4200 to Unlock 2022 Blessings
Pastor James Mugoh of Wings of Blessings African Church in Embu is currently fighting for his life after his church members attacked him during a New year’s first Sunday service.
The man of God reportedly demanded every member to give sh 4200 to unlock their 2022 blessings, failure to which he would curse them for being stingy to God.
The faithful did not welcome his demands and the heated exchange of words that ensued led to his attack.” It reported.
The source added that the church members had waited to be rich instantly but things were not going on as per their expectations.
To make it worse, the pastor was now diverting the topic while telling them that the blessings would take some years to unlock and not immediately as he told them.
Feeling cheated, the visibly angry church members landed on the pastor with blows, with others threatening to burn him alive if he did not unlock the blessings immediately.
It later turned out that the pastor had zero knowledge on how to unlock his own blessings forget about that of the church members.
