Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna now believes that the Luhya community needs new leadership.
Sifuna, speaking ahead of the Bukhungu II meeting in Kakamega on Friday, faulted the current declared Luhya kingpin Musalia Mudavadi saying that he has not done enough during his reign.
Sifuna suggested that the community should consider choosing another leader who has the interests of the people at heart and who would unite the Mulembe community.
“In 2016 Atwoli gave Mudavadi the responsibility of speaking on behalf of the Western Region. As a Luyha I can’t remember the last time he spoke to me. I’m looking forward to getting a new spokesman for the Luyha people today,” Edwin Sifuna said while stating his expectations ahead of the meeting.
The Nairobi Senatorial aspirant further lashed out at the ANC party leader for his stalled decision concerning the 2022 presidential race.
He hinted that the Azimio la Umoja movement led by ODM leader Raila Odinga was running out of patience waiting for Mudavadi to pledge his support and may result in courting other leaders.
