Former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale has blamed opposition leader Raila Odinga for not taking development goodies to the Western region during the Uhuruto Jubilee regime.
Instead of slamming President Uhuru and his deputy president William Ruto who run the country, Boni Khalwale chose to blame the opposition leader who is not in charge of any government resources.
As a result, Boni Khalwale urged Western residents to support deputy president William Ruto who is in government now in 2022 and give Raila a wide berth for not developing the Western region outside government.
“IT’S ENOUGH.We cannot vote for Raila 2007,2013,2017 then he goes ahead and enjoy the benefits of our votes alone.Western never benefited from 200 Billion handshake projects. Our mistakes as the elder people in our community should not be repeated by our children,IT’S OVER.”
Just the other day, Boni Khalwale also slammed Raila Odinga for neglecting Western region for the 15 years he has been in power, although he failed to mention what he meant by the ODM leader being in power and how he has abandoned the region.
“If speaking about luhya unity is endorsing Raila Odinga,it should be done in Bondo at the home of Raila. We are not interested in Raila coming to Western as a luhya because all the years he has been in power,he neglected our region yet we have supported him for 15years .” Said the former Kakamega senator.
In the meantime, Boni Khalwale recently demanded that President Kenyatta be the first person to be punished before DP William Ruto.
According to Khalwale, President Kenyatta ought to be punished first since he was the first one to defect from Jubilee and therefore it would not be right to punish the deputy president.
Speaking in an interview on Thursday November 4 at Citizen TV, Khalwale said that Ruto had an agreement with Jubilee but the party failed to honor that by clearly stating that they were supporting the Orange Democratic Movement Party.
“The Kieleweke side has been very clear. They have all defected to ODM, but the problem is that ODM does not have a pre-election coalition with Jubilee. If you must punish people for moving, then punish the Kieleweke side of Jubilee and not the Tangatanga side,” Khalwale said.
He also claimed that Ruto has been labeled a bad person but in reality, the president is the bad one while urging him to respect the coalition.
“What is worse is the president himself. If there is anyone to be sanctioned between Uhuru and Ruto, then it is the president. Why you can’t push them out of parliament is because the party they have moved to is the party that had a coalition with Jubilee,” he remarked.
