Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga Amollo Odinga on Saturday caused a stir at the burial of Mama Rosebella Mudavadi, Musalia Mudavadi’s late step-mother when he insisted that he will work with the ANC party leader ahead of 2022 polls.
Raila’s sentiment comes at a time when Mudavadi and a section of One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals have insisted that they do not wish to work with him come the next General Elections.
Raila has, however, insisted that his political path with Mudavadi will soon reunite and they will work together.
“Najua barabara yetu an Musalia itakutana tu, tuko pamoja. Niko na hakika tutatembea pamoja, jwa hivyo yale tunataka ni amani. Hata kama ni campaign tunafanya tuifanye katika njia ya urafiki,” Raila said.
According to Raila, he had worked together with Musalia before, therefore, their reunion will never be a difficult issue.
Raila reminded Mudavadi that in 2017, they had gone hunting together within Nasa coalition but their victory escaped after their competitors took power to form government.
The ODM chief also championed for peace during this political season and asked political leaders to desist from abusive and provocating politics.
“kile mimi nataka ni amani hata kama ile campaign inafanyika kwa njia ya urafiki. hakuna haja ya kutusiana, rushiana maneno mabaya.
“Tukishikana pamoja hakuna kile itashinda sisi… Sasa mambo yangu na Musalia achia mimi nitatua,” Raila said.
