A middle-aged woman has lost her life after she reportedly received Pfizer vaccine in Ruiru, Kiambu County.
In a police report at Ruiru police station, the 28-year-old was accompanied by her husband at a local hospital where they both got injected with the vaccine in a bid to prevent Covid-19.
His husband however says his wife developed complications immediately after receiving the vaccine, prompting him to rush her to Ruiru sub-county hospital.
“His wife developed unusual fever and was rushed to Ruiru sub-county hospital for medical examination but was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital,” the police report read.
The woman has since been identified as Rhoda Mwikali.
The body has been moved to General Kago mortuary awaiting autopsy.
